This was a brief from an assessment item in my second year at University, the core of which was to create a brand for a premium telecommunications company, similar to Telstra or Optus.

My brand solution was to use highly symbolic imagery in the logo, to subconsciously pass as much information as I could using just the brand. First off, it represents both a rotary dial and a satellite, referencing the history of phones and implying that the company has been around for a long time. It also has been drawn to represent an artists palette, to link to the company name. The two tone colour scheme means that the logo also implies a level of exclusivity- the central purple dot representing the customer (same colour as the company), while the other dots in a different colour are 'others', not using Artisan.
